What's your super power?

I was helping to set up some electronic gizmo for my 12 year old daughter the other day. Somewhere in the process it asked her, "If you could have any super power, what would it be?" I realized that I already have a super power.

Customers will now have access to their photo proofs in an online gallery powered by Zenfolio. I chose them as a partner for online ordering after thoroughly testing out several industry leading companies. They were the clear leader and when you see your photos online and in print, I think you will understand why.

Documenting a Home Restoration

Late in 2007, The Painting Pros asked me to photograph their restoration of one of Charlotte's most historic homes. The Thomas Alexander House was originally built on farmland but Charlotte has grown up around it and now it's located in the middle of the South Park area.

Building a new website gives me a good reason to go back through the photos I've taken over the last year to update all of my portfolios. This week I've been going through 5000+ wedding pictures taken in 2008. Of those, only about 50 will make it into the web gallery on this site.

How to light up a room

Photographing interiors for real estate is more complicated than it looks... if it's done right. It's usually my goal to make the lighting look natural in all of my photography and that is true of my interior shots as well. For almost as long as people have been making photographs, people have been touching them up. We used to use airbrushing to cover up imperfections but today it's all done in the computer. Here's a photo from a shoot I did Saturday morning before and after retouching.
